[email protected]The use of our online registration form is voluntary. During the processing of the registration form, an access log is set, if your browser allows this. Without access log online collection would not work. However, this is automatically deleted immediately at the end of the session, i.e. after the form has been completed and sent. If you close the browser window without having completed the survey, you will no longer find any of the data you entered.
General data and information are stored when the website of the provider is accessed. This general data and information is stored in the server log files.
The following can be recorded
This temporarily stored data is also used to obtain anonymous statistical findings to evaluate the use, system security and stability of the website. In addition, the data is processed to prevent unauthorized access to the Internet server and any misuse of the website and to ensure the security of the information technology systems.
The website of the reporting offices only uses technically necessary cookies, which are deleted after leaving the website.
References to third-party websites are offered on our website in the form of so-called links. Only when you click on such a link will data be transferred to this site. This is technically necessary. The data transmitted are, for example Your IP address, the time at which you clicked on the link, the page on which you clicked on the link, details of your Internet browser. If you do not want this data to be transmitted, do not click on these links.
Our aim is to document and evaluate queer-hostile incidents in NRW. The reports help to shed light on the statistical dark field in the area of anti-LGBTQ discrimination. MIQ NRW wants to make anti-LGBTQ discrimination visible so that those affected can be better supported. The statistics are intended to form a basis for developing better measures and strategies against queer hostility.
We do not collect any personal data. If a report contains personal data, it will be anonymized immediately.
Incidents are described using an online reporting form. The information about the incident itself, the groups of people affected and the circumstances that led to the incident are to be statistically evaluated using social science methods. On the basis of this information, the frequency and types of discrimination will be made visible nationwide and the nationwide support system against discrimination will be further developed.
We have taken data protection precautions to prevent the entry or storage of personal data in the reporting form as far as possible.
Personal data is information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person; this can be name, address, telephone number, date of birth, e-mail address, but also vehicle registration numbers or other place and function designations of individuals which - also in combination with each other - lead to an identifiable description.
The reporting form is structured with predominantly closed questions (with predefined answers). Questions are asked about the status of the persons affected by the incidents, which are anonymized and limited to the dimensions “gender identity” and “age cohort”. Further response specifications relate to the questions on the date and time as well as the location of the incident. The subsequent questions on the form of discrimination and any multiple discrimination are also controlled by categorized response specifications. Comment fields under the category “other” or “and indeed” are limited to 60 characters for each question. The description of the incident as a qualitative part of the report is collected via a free text field.
Please note the following requirements when describing the incident: Do not mention any specific persons by name and/or personal characteristics by which persons can be identified (see 1. Personal data). If you do provide personal data, we will anonymize it.
The data you enter is stored directly in a protected database from the form mask. Further processing takes place exclusively within the areas of the registration software that are protected by suitable data security measures (web-based).
The log files and your details in the reporting form are processed immediately in the following steps:
Immediately after these steps, the defined anonymization procedure is carried out on the raw data, which is deleted immediately afterwards.
The results are released within the reporting software for evaluation by the strictly separated “viewer” (i.e. the employees responsible for the evaluation).
The anonymized data will only be transferred to third parties or published within the scope of the purpose of the data processing, see point 5 (I). This includes the transfer of anonymized data to the research support and to cooperating reporting offices as well as publications.
As described in point 5 (IV), the already data-saving content information in the reporting form (raw data) is immediately and automatically separated from the technically necessary personal data (log files, incl. IP address) after verification. As a result, the necessary identification of a data subject is effectively excluded, and data subject inquiries cannot be assigned.
